"Living out God's peace - provide for a Just Peace" Pastor Monday 25 October 2010: Ecumenical worship peace
The Council of Christian Churches in Osnabrück (ACKOS) invites you to annual Ecumenical service at Osnabrück Peace Day, Monday, 10.25.2010, 18.00 clock in St.Katharinen. The sermon holds the Chief minister of the Evangelical Church in Bremen Renke Brahms who is also a peace officer of the EKD. The theme of worship is the title of the recent peace memorandum of the EKD: Living out God's peace - provide for a just peace.
Pastor Renke Brahms was elected in 2007 by the Church of Bremen Protestant Church as secretary (chief minister) of the Evangelical Church in Bremen. Since 1 October 2008 Renke Brahms held the newly created Office of the peace officers of the Evangelical Church in Germany EKD. At the same time he became Chairman of the Advisory Board for the Protestant clergy in the armed forces and the Presidency of the Council of the EKD to the accompaniment of conscientious objectors and alternative service.
